2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
The model is on a scale of 1/150 and accurately reproduces the castle's characteristic stone steps, stone droplets, and hip roof, and the framework of the castle tower and tower base is an easy-to-make laser-cut assembly structure. Maruoka Castle was built by Katsutoyo, a nephew of Katsuie Shibata, on the orders of Nobunaga Oda in preparation for the Ikko Ikki uprising in the 4th year of Tensho (1576) during the Sengoku period. It is a gazebo-type castle tower with a two-story exterior and three-story interior. The stone walls are built using an old method called Nozura-zumi, and although they have many gaps and look rough, they are said to have good drainage and do not have to worry about collapsing in heavy rain. After Katsutoyo Shibata, the lord of the castle passed through Ieyakiyo Yasui, Munekatsu Aoyama, Tadamoto Aoyama, and then Narishige Honda in 1613, but the Honda clan changed hands in the fourth generation. In the 8th year of Genroku (1695), Arima Kiyozumi from Echigo-Itoigawa entered the castle with 50,000 koku, and it is a Hirayama castle built in the style.As its other name, Kasumiga Castle, stands amidst the cherry blossoms in full bloom in spring, it has a fantastic and especially beautiful appearance, and has been designated as a national important cultural property. *This product is a wooden model that requires assembly. *Adhesive, tools, paint, etc. are required separately for assembly and painting.
