Product Description: Supplement Basics Health Gluten Free Vitamin B6 is used in the process of converting amino acids in the body and using them for various functions, including energy production, synthesis of important brain chemicals called neurotransmitters, and hormone metabolism that is beneficial for women with PMS symptoms. It is absolutely necessary. Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (P5P) is also required for homocysteine recycling because it catalyzes the breakdown of homocysteine into taurine and cysteine. P5P is also involved in the production of hemoglobin and intrinsic factor and is essential for the formation of myelin sheath surrounding nerve cells. To use vitamin B6, also known as pyridoxine, in the body, pyridoxine must be converted to pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (P5P). People with impaired liver function may have vitamin B6 deficiency because it is difficult to convert pyridoxine to pyridoxal 5'-phosphate.
