Grip power, which is a performance that contradicts this hardness, maintains the same level as the previous generation. The design is based on the latest wide rims, with a tread that is 15% wider than the previous generation tire. We combined it with the more flexible Swift Easy casing. As a result, the contact area between the tires and the road is wider horizontally than in the longitudinal direction, enabling aggressive cornering and reduced rolling resistance. It comes in two colors, black and tanwall, and three sizes: 26mm, 28mm, and 30mm, and weighs 275g, 290g, and 310g, respectively. The 28mm and 30mm versions are also hookless compatible. The tube type model does not use the Swift Easy casing and has enhanced puncture resistance. It comes in black and tan wall colors and weighs 225g, 245g and 265g.

The casing is wrapped around a bead and bonded directly to the central polyamide puncture protection layer. In normal tires, these have an overlapping structure. The final layer of casing wraps the beads on both sides to reduce air leakage. The SwiftEasy casing provides more flexible contact with the road, significantly increasing rolling resistance and comfort, while reducing weight by keeping the 127TPI casing to two layers of overlap. The result is a super fast, comfortable and lightweight Blackbird that weighs just 290 grams with 28mm tires. There's one more technology making its debut in Blackbird.
