Top Questions and Answers About Using Whitening Strips

Q: How long do results last?
A: Results will last up to 18 months to 2 years, but this can be influenced by the patient's eating behavior and other factors such as taking certain medications and smoking. Another very important factor in ensuring long-lasting results is maintaining good oral hygiene habits.
Q: How long should I avoid coffee and red wine after bleaching?
A: It is recommended to avoid such conditions during whitening and within 1 week after teeth whitening. If you feel that your teeth are yellowing over time, you can apply a complementary color bleaching application every 4-6 months as needed.
Q: How long does the whitening effect last?
A: Generally speaking, just after bleaching, the color will fade slightly and then remain stable for approx. 6 months to a year, sometimes longer. Maintenance is recommended every 4-6 months to polish your smile
Q: How long does it take for teeth to get whiter?
A: Results vary. Some teeth are noticeably whiter in just a few days, while others can take months. Most people will turn white within 2-3 weeks. The more yellow and grey there is in the teeth, the better the bleaching effect. Gray enamel, which is similar to tetracycline (antibiotic) staining, is more difficult to bleach and may take several months to achieve results.
Q: What if I don't see results after using the whitening patch?
A: If your teeth are noticeably discolored, you may need to use 2 courses of whitening patches first to achieve the desired results. We recommend using a daily whitening toothpaste to gently remove surface stains.
Q: Why is it not recommended to whiten teeth or use whitening strips during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
A: There have been no studies on teeth whitening during breastfeeding or pregnancy, so for liability reasons, the manufacturer recommends against bleaching during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Q: Will bleaching gel whiten my veneers, crowns (crowns) and adhesives?
A: All bleaches used to whiten teeth only work on the natural tooth structure. This means that all dental work including but not limited to bonding, veneers, crowns (crowns) and bridges will not be bleached or whitened. All dental work needs to be replaced to match the newly whitened teeth.
Q: Does everyone's teeth whiten the same?
A: No...results vary. Some teeth become noticeably whiter in just a few days, while others can take weeks to months to show a difference, if any. The more yellow and grey there is in the teeth, the better the bleaching effect. Gray enamel that is similar to tetracycline (antibiotic) staining is more difficult to bleach. Some normal teeth will
