The Blaster Master Zero series is a popular franchise developed and published by Inti Creates under license from Sunsoft, the brand of Sun Electronics Co., Ltd., for the Family Computer (Famicom) game “Super Planetary War Chronicle: Metafight” (International title: Blaster Master), originally released in 1988.

It's a hybrid exploration action game combining a side-view map where you control the versatile combat vehicle “Sophia-III” to explore areas, and a top-view map where you control the protagonist “Jason” to explore dungeons.

The graphics are based on the Family Computer software ‘Super Planet War Chronicle: Metafight’ (the first title), featuring an 8-bit style pixel art aesthetic reminiscent of 2D games from the Famicom's heyday, with arrangements optimized for current-generation hardware.

This product combines three titles into one: ‘Blast Master Zero’ (released as a download-only title for the Nintendo Switch launch in March 2017), its sequel ‘Blast Master Zero 2’ (released in March 2019), and the latest installment ‘Blast Master Zero 3’.
