The EP40 knob features a specially designed thin-walled hollow titanium structure, achieving exceptional lightness despite its large 40mm diameter. The palm side has a smooth round shape with dimple processing for comfort, while the reel side is formed into a gentle pentagonal shape to enhance grip. This unique design provides a soft, secure feel in the palm and excellent anti-slip performance for the fingers, making it comfortable for both light reeling and powerful fights.
Each knob is meticulously crafted from 0.8mm titanium sheet, shaped using dedicated molds, then hand-finished through temporary welding, final welding, rough polishing, and individual heat-coloring. Finally, a precisely machined and anodized aluminum knob collar is attached using high-precision NC lathe processing. The result is an ultimate round knob refined for superior hand feel and flawless balance.
By replacing the original knob on your reel handle, you can easily improve both usability and appearance. Thanks to its extremely high manufacturing precision, there is no wobble or looseness during use.
Please note that if you are installing this knob onto an existing BJ or POWER handle, be sure to select the Daiwa (L) type. EP knobs that come standard with LIVRE custom handles are designed for Daiwa (L) and cannot be installed on Shimano genuine handles. If you wish to replace only the knob on a Shimano genuine handle, please choose the EP knob specifically made for Shimano-compatible handle knobs.
The Brown (IP) coating is a special specification with outstanding resistance to scratches, wear, and peeling. Using an advanced ion plating process, a 0.1-micron ultra-hard coating is formed on the titanium surface, resulting in excellent corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability even under harsh fishing conditions.
