Released in 1980, the RZ250 was developed as a culmination of Yamaha's 2-stroke technology amid increasingly strict environmental regulations. It was a huge hit, revolutionizing the market trend that was shifting to 4-strokes and sparking the subsequent boom in racer replicas. It has enjoyed immense popularity ever since.
The RZ250's shape and presence have been faithfully reproduced, including the water-cooled 2-cylinder engine developed for the TZ250/350 production racers, the first Monocross rear suspension on a production road sports model, and the bold styling designed by the GK Industrial Design Institute.
The tank and frame are die-cast for a high level of weight and texture. This is a finished model with excellent value for money.
