The backpack is small, but quite roomy, it will fit a book, a phone, a makeup bag, and various other necessary small items! The backpack has two compartments that fasten with 2 fairly large buttons, each compartment zips up, one compartment has a zippered pocket, and the other has a small pocket. The color of the received order does not match the color in the picture. Instead of khaki, I received a bag the color of coffee with milk. The fastener on the fabric strap does not secure the length - it slips. The bag, if worn on one shoulder, flips over. It is absolutely necessary to fasten the bag.
