C.E. 70... The battle between ZAFT and the Earth Alliance, which escalated into full-scale armed conflict following the tragedy of "Valentine's Day," was extremely fierce. Following the Second Battle of Jachin Due, a ceasefire treaty was signed, despite great sacrifices. However, this ceasefire did not put an end to the conflict between Naturals and Coordinators. Amid the chaos of the war, Shin Asuka was caught up in the Earth Alliance's invasion of Orb, and while fleeing the flames of battle, he lost his parents and sister before his eyes. As he grieved, clutching his sister's cell phone, his only keepsake, the Gundam, the mobile suit that was the source of the war, flew away overhead. Leaving Orb in despair, he traveled to PLANT. And by C.E. 73, he had become a ZAFT soldier.
