This is a cable-integrated adapter that converts a Mini DisplayPort (female) connector on a computer to a DVI port (female). *It cannot convert a Mini DisplayPort on a monitor to a DVI port. This is an active adapter that can convert a single-mode (not dual-mode) Mini DisplayPort output to a DVI signal. The integrated short cable makes it easy to handle and allows connection without interfering with other interfaces. The cable is triple shielded with aluminum shield (twisted pair cable) → aluminum shield → high-density braided shield to prevent noise interference. Gold-plated pins are used, which are resistant to rust and have less signal degradation over time.
