Many people and creatures play a role in the War of the Ring: the mysterious Ents, the Dead Men of Dunharrow, the Great Eagles of the Misty Mountains, the Corsairs of Umber, the Men of the Brown Lands, and the Giant Spiders of Mirkwood and Mordor. Warriors of Middle-earth adds new depth to warriors who previously only appeared as event cards in previous games. Now, they play integral roles, endowed with unique figures and special talents. As a Free People player, you can rally Ents to liberate Rohan or defend Lorien or Gondor; lead an army of the dead in an invasion of the Southern Lands; or fly with the Eagles to aid your allies and quell sieges. As a Shadow player, sail the dark sails of the pirate ship Corsair along the River Anduin and the western coast, lead the Brown Men to attack Edoras and set fire to the Shire; Let them emerge from the darkest recesses of the realm to strike terror into your foes... With new special dice, two sets of party events, and new figures, Warriors of Middle-earth expands options for the Free Peoples and Shadows, making every battle in War of the Ring Second Edition more challenging and more fun.
