This collection compiles the essay "Specimen Box," which ran as a series from 1986 to 2000 in the "Saturn Chronicles" magazine, a guide to new releases inserted into Kousakusha books. The title comes from an essay by Tomoko Tada. It also includes a conversation between Shin Sobue, who was once responsible for the design of "Saturn Chronicles," and editor-in-chief Kei Yonezawa.
