Brand Introduction
Pielaven, which means 'Arctic Fox', was founded in the small Swedish town of Ovik. It was established by Åke Nordin, who, as a 14-year-old ski scout, sought a backpack that could carry more gear comfortably. Frustrated with the existing options, he decided to create his own. Using a wooden frame and leather straps, he completed his first trekking backpack. After joining the military, he realized the need for a larger backpack to carry more gear, leading to the founding of Pielaven at the age of just 24 in 1960, focusing on producing outdoor equipment and clothing. The Arctic Fox logo is now seen in urban streets, forests, and the wild. As a representative outdoor brand of Northern Europe, Pielaven offers functional products suitable for Scandinavian outdoor lifestyles in over 20 countries worldwide, including the USA and Europe, and has been loved for over 60 years.
