Brand Introduction
Fjällräven, meaning "Arctic Fox," is a Swedish outdoor brand that began in a small town in central Sweden called Övik. The brand was born out of the passion of a 14-year-old boy named Åke Nordin. He needed a backpack that could comfortably carry more gear, but the existing options were very uncomfortable. Consequently, he resolved to create his own backpack and completed his first trekking pack by making a wooden frame and attaching leather straps.
After joining the military, he recognized the need for a backpack that could carry even more gear, leading him to establish Fjällräven at the age of 24 in 1960, where he began producing outdoor equipment and clothing. The Arctic Fox logo, which symbolizes his arduous journey, is well-loved by people across urban landscapes, forests, and wild areas alike.
