Description:
6542 high-speed steel taps offer high hardness, good durability, wear resistance, and excellent cutting performance. 9SiCr alloy tool steel dies offer excellent hardness, durability, and wear resistance for durability.
The Tap & Die Set accurately cuts, repairs, or cleans threads. The straight flute taps pass through holes and shallow blind holes and remove chips downward. The round dies are suitable for threading rods, bolts, screws, pipes, and shafts, or can simply be used to remove bolts and threaded rods. Widely used on most metals, including iron, copper, zinc, alloy steel, polished steel, and stainless steel.
These taps and dies have clear, burr-free threads and are designed for left-handed tapping. The thread dies feature a conical locking hole for strong locking force and prevent loosening. Uncoated tools feature only the base plate and are suitable for a wide range of applications.
These dies are used with a die stock wrench (sold separately). Insert the central tightening screw of the wrench into the die slot and tighten. These machine taps are used with drill presses, tapping machines, CNC machines, and milling machines. Use appropriate cutting lubricants or oils for better thread quality and durable taps and dies.
Tip: Control the speed according to the hardness of the material. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed. Apply force evenly during tapping. First, drill the hole with a twist drill bit, then tap with the thread tap. The tapping angle should be vertical and stable at 90 degrees.
