This model is a plastic model assembly kit based on Platz's 1/72 scale "Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-15J Eagle," which has already garnered high praise from aircraft model enthusiasts. It recreates the aircraft with the special paint scheme commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, which appeared at the Komatsu Air Base Air Show on September 23, 2024.
It models the F-15J of the 306th Squadron that was unveiled at the Komatsu Air Base Air Show on September 23rd.
To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, the aircraft features a purple paint scheme symbolizing the milestone, and markings centered around cherry blossoms, Japan's national flower, reproduced with large decals from Cartograf.
Of course, not only the shape of the aircraft, but also the landing gear, engine exhausts, and cockpit details are realistically reproduced, making this an unmissable item.
