In World Wonders, players take on the role of one of the greatest leaders of ancient times and strive to bring prosperity to their city-state.

Each round, players spend gold to construct buildings that will develop their city's economy.

There are five types of buildings, each providing resources that will help your city evolve from a simple settlement into the largest city in the world.

If your buildings are completely surrounded on all sides, you have created a well-planned city block, which will earn you many victory points.

Your city will also need many roads to place new buildings.

Adjacent roads allow you to place buildings further apart.

If this allows you to reach natural resources, you will receive additional victory points.

Equally important to buildings are monuments.

These can earn you many victory points, but they will also consume all of your gold.

You must choose when and where to place them wisely.

Placing monuments in your city can be challenging, but the rewards can be great. Your turn ends when you run out of gold. Once all players have used up their gold, a new round begins, with new buildings and roads available for everyone to use.

The game ends when any player reaches the population limit, and the player with the most victory points becomes the leader of the greatest city in the ancient world and the winner of the game.

This is a sandbox-style tile-placement game featuring beautiful painted wooden pieces that recreate the world's greatest structures. Advanced games and solo play are also possible.
