I took a 40 for a size 38.5 - just right. Only the straps are a bit wide, my foot slips. I think they are for a wider foot. The material is pleasant, soft and light.

For my size 37, 39 fit perfectly. They will sit better on a foot with an average instep; I have a low instep and the straps don't hug the foot.

Not comfortable at all to wear. It took me 5 minutes to struggle with the clasp because it wasn't in the right place.
