While regular brushing and other maintenance are required, these soles can be used in a variety of fields. They are suitable for all types of wading, including mountain streams. Radial soles are primarily suited to embankments, surf, estuaries, mud, soil, and boats. Felt soles are suited to embankments, surf, rocky areas, estuaries, mud, soil, and mountain streams.
