It seems to work, but it's kind of interesting and unclear. It charges some discharged alkaline batteries to 1.5V and slightly more, others to 1.4V and less. You put some batteries on charge, and the indicator in the slot shows a green light. You have to rearrange the batteries by trial and error to get a red light. After about six hours of charging, all slots show green, meaning they are charged, but to different levels. The charging unit itself is compact and made of good plastic, neat. I bought a second charger for spare. There is a positive aspect, as well as the point of purchase, but not everything is completely clear yet..
