It can be used as an iron kettle (for boiling water), a sake warmer (for warming sake), and a teapot. The inside is coated with a black baked-on paint. Because of the special baked-on paint that allows oxygen to pass through the iron surface, the boiled water contains iron. The handle can be folded down, making it convenient for storage. It is compatible with gas stoves. Manufactured by Iwachu in Minami-Senboku, Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture.
