[Hexagram] The hexagram is a symbol that has been used since ancient times, both in the East and the West. It is a symbol of Judaism, the Star of David; in Catholicism, the Stella Maris (Star of the Sea), a symbol of the Virgin Mary; in Western alchemy, the interaction of fire and water; and in Japanese Onmyōdō (Yin-Yang philosophy), a barrier against evil. It has primarily been used as a symbol, a sign, and a protective motif. [Gibeon] Gibeon is an iron meteorite (meteorite) mainly composed of iron and nickel, discovered in 1936 in Gibeon, Namibia (southern Africa). It is believed to have fallen to Earth approximately 450 million years ago. In Japan, meteorites have been considered to represent divine will and have been used as sacred objects or in Shinto rituals and festivals.
