Founded in 1821 in Breda, a town famous for its pottery in Catalonia, northeastern Spain, Regas has continued to produce unglazed earthenware plates and pots called cazuelas using classic methods. In Spain, they are widely used in restaurants for serving tapas (small dishes) and in home kitchens. They can also be placed directly in the oven, and are popular for cooking over direct heat (with some exceptions) and serving directly at the table.
