What is it?
Sugarcane is a renewable, fast-growing resource that is cultivated for many purposes, such as sugarcane juice. After the juice is extracted, the sugarcane stalk is usually burned or discarded. However, these crushed stalks can be preserved and transformed into other items before being discarded. This material is recovered and used to make disposable packaging.
