The prototype was created by the legendary Yuji Sakai, who thoroughly researched the materials, design, sculpting, and coloring to faithfully recreate the suit from the 1972 film. For example, Gigan's visor adopts a double structure just like the actual suit. It has been accurately colored based on research of still images from the film. Similar to the actual suit in the film, translucent materials are used on the wings to enhance realism.
