[Product Description]

Product Introduction

Hailing from Sweden, Amon Amarth, a veteran band of melodic death metal/viking metal, releases their first album under Sony Music, their 10th overall. With over 20 years of career, they have established themselves as a main stage regular at world-renowned heavy metal festivals. They have participated in Japan’s LOUD PARK for 10 years and KNOTFEST for 14 years, captivating audiences with their powerful, high-speed heavy tunes and impressive performance that match their intimidating presence. For this milestone 10th album, as the title suggests, they focus on the legendary Vikings of Scandinavia (mercenaries, warriors, pirates) active during the 10th to 11th centuries, creating their first concept album based on an original epic saga written by frontman Johan Hegg. From the opening single "First Kill," listeners are overwhelmed by their true essence—dramatic and melodic fast death vocals. The band’s current momentum and confidence are vividly reflected in this outstanding new work!
