SX-SAT set – close-coupled midrange and treble tones
The SX-SAT set is responsible for the midrange and treble tones. It consists of two 70 mm midrange drivers and two 25 mm tweeters. The close proximity of both drivers helps achieve a more coherent sound stage and better sound focus.
The set includes frames and mounting panels that facilitate permanent installation of the midrange and treble section. They can be used, for example, when mounted in the A-pillars of a car.
Natural Silk Tweeters
The tweeters utilize 25mm diameter domes made of natural silk. The diaphragm is impregnated with a thin layer of anti-resonance material, which helps produce clear and detailed highs.

70mm Midrange Drivers

The pressed steel basket has large ventilation holes. The efficient EFF magnet system and a pure copper voice coil on an aluminum former support stable operation and good heat dissipation.
165 mm woofers – dynamic bass and natural midrange
The 165 mm woofers are responsible for the bass and lower midrange. Their diaphragms are made of 2-layer paper coated with ADC (Active Damping Coating). The coating limits resonances, reduces distortion, and additionally protects the diaphragm from moisture.
The LXPD dust cap, in the style of a phase plug, improves midrange detail at a wider listening angle. This is especially important in cars, where woofers are often mounted low in the doors.
The double-compressed foam surround allows for long, linear excursion of the cone. This allows the system to offer more bass, better efficiency, and less unwanted distortion.
Vented Basket and EFF Magnet System

Important Installation Information
Operating the system without properly connected crossovers can result in permanent damage to the midrange and tweeters. Such damage is not covered by the warranty.
Depending on the mounting location, speaker orientation, and distance from the listener, changing the polarity of the midrange or tweeters may help achieve better response alignment around the crossover point.
Optional Excursion XLR resistive attenuators can be used to lower the mid-high frequency section. These are sold separately and can reduce the signal level by 2-10 dB.
