Features 1. Rapidly cuts off the output when current exceeds the set value, effectively protecting the power supply and downstream loads from damage 2. Provides a smooth power-up when connecting to high-capacitance loads, effectively suppressing surge spikes and preventing system shock 3. Dual monitoring for overvoltage (OVP) and undervoltage (UVP); immediately cuts off power upon any voltage abnormality 4. The module features a built-in temperature control mechanism that automatically activates protection when temperatures exceed limits, ensuring continuous and stable operation 5. Emits an output alarm signal in the event of a fault, facilitating coordinated responses from the host computer and enabling rapid troubleshooting and issue identification Product Introduction The electronic fuse module, also known as an electronic fuse or solid-state fuse module, is a circuit board centered around a dedicated power protection chip. It is designed to replace traditional glass-tube and ceramic disposable fuses to protect DC power circuits. Differences from Traditional Fuses Traditional fuses: Rely on a metal wire that melts due to heat; they burn out after a single use and must be manually replaced after a failure. They have a slow response time and provide only overcurrent protection. Electronic fuses: Rely on semiconductor chips and MOSFETs to provide protection; there is no physical melting. They can be automatically or manually restored to once the fault is resolved and are classified as resettable protective devices. Parameter Operating Voltage: DC 5–60 V Current Limiting Range: 5 A Reset Type: Automatic reset Indicator Light Status: Blue light on indicates normal operation; red light on indicates short-circuit protection; red light on with blue light flashing rhythmically indicates output overcurrent protection. Standby Power Consumption: 2 mA during operation; 21 μA in shutdown/sleep mode Operating Temperature: –20°C to +60°C Protection Functions: Overcurrent protection, fast short-circuit protection, 4.5V undervoltage protection, 60V overvoltage protection, and chip overheat protection Precautions 1. The input voltage range is DC 5–60V; the maximum transient voltage must not exceed 65V, as exceeding this limit will permanently damage the module. 2. The power supply’s output capacity must exceed the module’s set current limit; if the power supply’s current is too low, it will be clamped during a short circuit, causing the module’s protection functions to malfunction. 3. The output voltage follows the input voltage; it does not step up or step down. 4. Do not set the current limit exactly equal to the load’s rated current; it must be greater than the normal operating current, otherwise power-on surges may trigger false tripping. 5. Do not reverse the input and output connections; connect “IN” to the power supply and “OUT” to the load. The module does not support reverse current injection (output voltage higher than input voltage). For inductive loads (relays, motors), it is recommended to connect a Schottky diode in parallel across the output terminals to absorb reverse negative voltage spikes and prevent damage to the chip. 6. The operating ambient temperature range is 20°C to +60°C. Do not operate at full load for extended periods in high-temperature, enclosed environments. 7. Do not connect multiple modules in parallel to increase current capacity, as current will not be distributed evenly among the modules, causing one of them to trigger protection first. 8. For DC circuits only; AC input is prohibited. Package include Electronic Fuse Module *1
