Description

This is a full-metal chronograph from the analog "2100" series, developed to inherit the concept of the original G-SHOCK model, the "DW-5000C." While employing stainless steel for the case, bezel, and band, it retains the octagonal bezel shape and dimpled band design also used in the DW-5000C, which was released in 1983. By implementing a fine resin cushioning material between the bezel and case, a shock-resistant structure is achieved through the metal exterior. The bezel is three-dimensionally formed through a time-consuming forging, cutting, and polishing process, with a beautifully finished circular hairline pattern on the top surface and mirror polishing on the bevels. The indices and sub-dial rings feature delicate shaping using micro-machining technology and a high-quality finish achieved through vapor deposition. The screw-lock crown is designed in the same octagonal shape as the bezel, contributing to miniaturization while maintaining shock resistance. A slim, high-performance module is mounted using high-density mounting technology, resulting in a thin profile and a comfortable fit. It connects to a dedicated app via Bluetooth® communication to obtain time information and keep accurate time. It also features practical functions such as Tough Solar and a high-brightness LED light.
