[A Fit That Feels Like a Custom Made] We went back to basics and rethought what it means to achieve a comfortable fit, arriving at the idea of two points of support and one point of support that prevents slippage. Similar to a tripod, any housing can be secured in three places for a stable fit. There are three points in total: one point on the green part (earpiece), one point on the blue part (tragus), and one point on the pink part (concha: the recess of the ear) in the diagram below. We adopted a fitting method in which the earphones are held in place by the earpiece and tragus, which are stress-free even when force is applied, and the earphones touch the pink part (concha: the recess of the ear) just enough to prevent them from slipping out. The design, with clearly defined contact points, allows the earphones to fit comfortably in the ears of more people. A lack of pressure on the earphones makes them feel incredibly comfortable, providing an excellent fit that feels like customized earphones.
[Stainless steel housing made by MIM (Metal Injection Molding)] MIM is a method of mixing fine metal powder with a binder, molding it in a mold like resin, and then sintering it at high temperature to set the shape. As with molded resin products, there is a high degree of freedom in the shape, and even though it is metal, it is possible to create complex internal designs.
[MMCX Connector + Original OFC Cable] The MMCX connector was developed in-house. The cable is made with a soft, flexible sheath to reduce touch noise. It bends flexibly even when using ear hooks, ensuring a comfortable fit.
