The ring is silver plated, although I couldn't figure out what material is underneath. I'm guessing copper. The workmanship is very high quality and pretty. There are many smaller artificial crystals set into the ring as well as a larger one. They are all sharp-edged and sparkle beautifully. The ring can be adjusted by means of a rail, into which the opposite part slips when the ring is pressed together.
