From the standpoint of being responsible for liberal arts education at the university, the Hanyang University Liberal Arts Education Committee developed new and efficient textbooks to develop and implement Korean language teaching methods that match the true Korean culture even in a changed world. In the process of developing this textbook, we established a specific direction for international students to actually improve their Korean language skills, as well as a direction to improve their creative thinking skills suited to a new world. First, I further strengthened the creative thinking training process by explaining Korean language education in terms of speaking, writing, and reading materials. Introduced activities at the right place, individual activities, and group activities were promoted. In particular, as example sentences, I carefully selected Korean statements and famous letters that are consistent with the spirit of the times required by future-oriented Korean society, and included them as reading materials. Based on Korean culture, I designed a textbook so that you can actually try speaking and writing in Korean that leads to creative and logical thinking while truly communicating with Koreans. There may be difficulties in the training process to develop Korean language skills, but I hope that our international students will gain a high level of liberal arts knowledge and develop creative communication skills in classes using this textbook.
