The Wolfgang Special features an arched-top basswood body and a bolt-on quarter-sawn maple neck reinforced with sturdy graphite, and is hand-finished with a urethane back finish to match Eddie Van Halen's exacting specifications. The 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard is designed for energetic riffs and leads, with 22 jumbo frets and pearloid dot inlays. The neck end has a spoke wheel, making it easy to adjust the truss rod. Two custom-designed EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbuckers are mounted directly to the body, providing dynamic, articulate voicing as well as rich sustain for powerful chords and melodic lines. The combination of the sturdy and reliable EVH branded Floyd Rose locking tremolo and Floyd Rose locking nut keeps your tuning precise, even during aggressive arm playing.
