Feeding amounts are only a guideline and may vary depending on activity level, health, life stage, and temperature. Maintaining your dog in ideal body condition is important for your dog’s long-term health. Solid Gold Dog Food is a complete and balanced food, so additional foods, treats, and chews may alter this balance. Provide fresh, clean water daily. We recommend your dog visits your veterinarian annually. Nursing, Nursing & Pregnant Puppies: Puppies should be introduced to solid food at 3-4 weeks of age. We recommend moistening whole weaning (6-8 weeks of age) powdered food in warm water or moistening canned Solid Gold food. Maintain your dog's ideal body condition. Appetite changes are normal for most dogs. Dogs and nursing/pregnant females may need 2-3 times more food than indicated in the table. Switching to Solid Gold Pet Food: Transitioning to a new dog food should be gradual, over a period of 7-10 days.
