Product Description

This is a plastic assembly kit model of the Shokaku, the aircraft carrier that served as the mainstay of the Japanese Navy's task force from the start of the Pacific War until its sinking by a US submarine in the Battle of the Philippine Sea in June 1944.

The Shokaku, considered an ideal aircraft carrier with a perfect balance of speed, armament, and defense, has been recreated in its original form at the start of the war. Recreate her appearance during missions such as the Pearl Harbor raid and the Second Solomon Islands War.

The flight deck brake cables and other parts are sharply finished. Includes decals for white lines and landing markers on the deck, as well as a wide range of aircraft used in the first half of the war, including the Zero Fighter Type 21 and the Type 99 carrier-based bomber. Total length when assembled: 367mm.
