Pit Road 1/700 Skywave Series Russian Missile Cruiser Kirov (now Admiral Ushakov) Plastic Model M56
The Russian Navy's Kirov-class ships, the lead of which was the Kirov (later renamed Admiral Ushakov by the Russian Navy), were commissioned in 1980. These massive 28,000-ton vessels were equipped with a combined nuclear and steam turbine powertrain and were classified as heavy nuclear-powered missile cruisers.
The ships boasted advanced designs, including vertical launch of their main armament, the SS-N-19 cruise missiles and SA-N-6 anti-aircraft missiles, and sloped superstructures for stealth.
Unusually for a modern combat vessel, they were also armored.
