Product Introduction

Nine "Hateruma"-class patrol vessels were built as base-enhanced patrol vessels with mothership capabilities for helicopters and patrol boats. To fulfill the ship's mothership functions while also achieving a speed of over 30 knots, the vessel adopted waterjet propulsion and featured a bulwark at the bow for excellent seakeeping. To reduce weight, the funnel was eliminated and the exhaust was side-mounted. The vessel is armed with remote-controlled machine guns linked to an optical fire control system and a large water cannon. The PL-61 "Hateruma" was completed in March 2008 and is currently assigned to the 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters in Ishigaki. This product precisely recreates the ship's vibrant green painted white hull, the sleek form unique to high-speed vessels with all of its front structures angled, and its four waterjet engines, its most distinctive feature.
