This short-sleeve T-shirt is crafted from specially treated fabric for instant insect repellent protection. Its soft texture and comfortable fit, combined with UV and dry protection, provide both summertime insect bite protection and summer heat protection all in one. We recommend pairing it with the Bug Off Ice Inner Shirt or Bug Off Ice Sleeves, sold separately. Crafted from BUG OFF, the wearable insect repellent. The fabric incorporates an insect repellent directly into the yarn, providing instant insect protection. (This lasts for a long time; insects sense the chemical on the fabric and flee, so it does not protect uncovered areas.) The fabric is formulated with ingredients that detect and repel mosquitoes, ticks, and other insects with sensory organs on their antennae and feet. (Please note that this may not be effective against larger insects like bees and horseflies, depending on the duration of contact with the fabric.) The chemicals used are replicas of natural ingredients from the Asteraceae family, and are tasteless, odorless, and safe (certified by the international organization OEKO-TEX®). The special coating provides long-lasting insect repellent effectiveness with high wash durability (wash durability: maintains over 90% effectiveness after more than 70 washes).
