The Pioneer R100 was used to tow heavy artillery from the early stages of World War II through the end of the war.
Artillery towed included the BL 8-inch howitzer, BL 7.2-inch howitzer, and M59 155mm cannon.
The BL 7.2-inch howitzer was a heavy artillery piece used by the British Army in World War II.
This model was produced by modifying the design of the World War I BL 8-inch howitzer.
The wheels have been replaced with pneumatic tires for towing.
A manual winch attached to the roof was used for loading ammunition.
The winch under the loading platform and the engine at its heart are also meticulously reproduced.
The 7.2-inch gun was a World War I design but has been modernized.
