This is a replacement amplifier card for the iBasso DX340 flagship player. It can be used by replacing the standard [AMP15]. *The iBasso DX340 is sold separately. [22.5V High-Voltage Anode Power Supply] While most portable audio devices use 9V or 12V power supplies, the AMP16 uses a 22.5V high-voltage anode power supply specifically tuned for the JAN6418 vacuum tube. This high-voltage design provides increased headroom for improved performance, unlocking the full potential of the vacuum tube. Hand-Matched Vacuum Tube Parts: The manufacturing process for vacuum tube devices requires inspection to ensure there are no variations or gaps between individual units and that quality differences are within acceptable limits. The iBasso team performs rigorous testing using an APX555 audio analyzer to thoroughly measure SINAD before each pair is put into production. This process is limited to matching 50 pairs per day, and it is this meticulous approach that ensures the AMP16's high-quality sound. [PORON Suspension: A Breakthrough Approach to Vibration Damping] The suspension structure is crucial for isolating the vacuum tubes from noise, and after extensive testing, we adopted [PORON Suspension], which ensures vibration damping by suspending tubes made of PORON material within the chassis. This breakthrough approach effectively reduces microphonic noise and provides effective shock absorption. [TUBE Mode (Vacuum Tube Mode) / Class AB Mode (Class AB Amplifier Mode): Two Freely Selectable Flavors] The AMP16 features both TUBE mode and Class AB mode, allowing users to seamlessly switch between sound modes from the output settings. TUBE mode delivers a warm sound that takes advantage of the superior analog characteristics of vacuum tubes, while Class AB mode delivers high resolution and excellent dynamic range. *In TUBE mode, external noise may be present due to vibration, electromagnetic interference, and other factors; however, this is due to the component's inherent characteristics. [JAN6418 x2 + Dual OPAMP x4 + BUF634A x4] The AMP16 combines two Raytheon vacuum tubes, four high-performance Ti dual OPAMPs, and four BUF634As in a beautiful, compact design, achieving a fusion of technology and design. By using carefully selected capacitors, the AMP16 offers DX340 users greater expandability and an outstanding sound experience. [2000mW + 2000mW @ 32Ω with DC12V Power Input and Incredible Drive Performance] The AMP16 inherits the DC12V external power input newly adopted in the AMP15. By connecting to a DC12V power supply, [Super Gain Mode] is activated, providing incredible drive performance of 2000mW @ 32Ω per channel. This means that even headphones that are difficult to drive with the AMP16 can be easily driven. [4.4mm + 3.5mm Dual Connection Design] The AMP16 supports 4.4mm + 3.5mm dual connections. This industry-standard connection ensures wide connectivity and supports the user's flexible tube listening experience.
