The materials, items, and colors have been updated. The leather is tanned by a member of the Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Association, and while the distinctive surface finish remains, it has a richer texture. The cowhide surface is first brushed to create a fluffy texture, then polished with a brass brush to lay the fuzz flat, resulting in a unique matte finish.
