Ensure the circuit board under test is powered down and any large electrolytic capacitors on the main board are fully discharged. Testing while the main board is powered is strictly prohibited. 2. Verify that pin 1 of the optocoupler (the pin marked with a small dot) corresponds to the marked pin 1 on the test board. 3. Connect the optocoupler test board to a USB power source. Position the test board's probes to contact the optocoupler under test. A continuously flashing indicator light on the test board indicates the optocoupler is functioning correctly. 4.
