Thunder Model 1/35 USA Ward-La France M1000 Series 2 Heavy Tow Truck Plastic Model TB35010
The M1/M1A1 heavy tow truck was a large, six-wheel-drive military tow truck developed in the United States early in World War II and used by the U.S. military throughout the war, along with the Diamond T969 tow truck.
The M1, originally developed by Marmon-Herrington and modified by Corby, is a heavy military tow truck with a towing capacity of 27 tons.
Production began in 1941 by Ward-La France, and when demand exceeded production, Kenworth also began parallel production.
Together with the improved M1A1, a total of 4,925 vehicles were produced during the war.
