Product Introduction
Tiger Model 1/35 Leclerc Series 21 Main Battle Tank Plastic Model.
The Leclerc is a French main battle tank.
Development of this vehicle began in 1971 as a successor to the AMX-30, with deliveries to the French Army beginning in 1992.
The Leclerc is equipped with a 120mm smoothbore gun with an autoloader and features composite armor integrated into a modular interior, meeting the requirements of a third-generation tank. Furthermore, due to its incorporation of a C4I system from the start, it is sometimes classified as a 3.5-generation tank.
GIAT, the manufacturer of the Leclerc, classifies vehicles manufactured in production lots 1 through 5 as "Series 1," vehicles manufactured in production lots 6 through 9 as "Series 2," and vehicles manufactured in production lots 10 and 11 as "Series XXI."
The Series XXI features a new composite armor module with improved bullet resistance compared to previous models, and the commander's rotating sight has been enhanced with an IRIS infrared imaging system and a laser rangefinder.
The "ICONE" Battle Management System (BMS) not only allows for an overall and localized view of the battlefield, but also allows for at-a-glance confirmation of enemy and friendly troop positions, remaining ammunition, and damage status.
The kit includes etchings, decals, and clear parts.
