On the Drone (Multicopter) & Robocon transmitter, both sticks return to the center using springs. Unlike helicopters and airplanes, the throttle stick position is not maintained even when released.

The default setting is Mode 1 (right throttle). Software settings can easily be changed to Mode 2 (left throttle), as well as Modes 3 and 4.
