Two-layer papermaking is a proprietary technology that creates a single cone paper consisting of two layers: a base layer and a surface layer. The FF-wk series uses long-fiber (low-beating) wood pulp for the base layer, providing high rigidity and moderate internal loss through its structure. The surface layer is blended with short-fiber (high-beating) kenaf and binchotan charcoal powder to increase the propagation speed of the cone paper surface. The edge shape is up-rolled to achieve a long stroke, and the material is a specially blended urethane foam with a polycarbonate-based material that possesses the contradictory physical properties of high loss and a high Young's modulus. * The surface color of the FF-WK series cone paper is derived from binchotan charcoal, and no dyes are used. As a result, the surface color of the cone paper will vary from one piece to another. The center cap is made of aluminum alloy and shaped like a ridge dome. This reduces high-frequency coloration by dispersing and weakening strong resonances at specific frequencies. It also has a direct connection to the voice coil bobbin, expanding the high-frequency playback range. The three-point adhesive method is used, bonding the cone paper, damper, and voice coil at the same location. By increasing the strength of the cone neck, we have achieved improved high-frequency characteristics. Furthermore, by creating a pocket shape in the damper neck, three-point adhesive is possible even when relay wires are used for the voice coil. To minimize any changes in sound quality, gold-plated Faston 205 type terminals are used for the input terminals. The FF-wk series is a full-range driver designed exclusively for bass reflex use, which has been completely redesigned from the previous FF series, adding a new 10cm diameter to the lineup. By adopting a new "two-layer paper cone" made using a new paper-making method, a ridge dome-shaped aluminum alloy center cap, and a pocket neck damper, we have achieved powerful low frequencies and characterless high frequencies while maintaining clear and realistic sound quality.
