Reproduces the ship's appearance at the Battle of Tsushima
Constructed as part of the First Phase of the Armaments Expansion Plan in 1896, construction began at the Yokosuka Arsenal in May 1898.
It is said to be a modified version of the British-built Tatsuta, and was built as a nearly 400-ton enlarged ship.
During the Battle of Tsushima, it launched a torpedo attack on the enemy flagship Suwarov, scoring two torpedo hits.
