Ten Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, the pride of the United States, have been in service since 1975, carrying a wide variety of aircraft. The Nimitz-class flight deck can be used in a variety of situations to create a shipboard diorama of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aircraft.
This 1/72-scale model recreates the deck and catwalk, including the jet blast deflector around Catapult No. 4, located in the center of the port side.
This multi-material model features an acrylic deck with laser-engraved molding, 3D-printed parts for the jet blast deflector's retractable arm and the life rafts lined up on the ship's side, and high-density cardboard components precisely cut out using laser processing.
This model requires painting, and the same acrylic paints as plastic models can be used. The acrylic flight deck can also be inked or stained with enamel paint.
The sample photos are of a painted, completed product as a diorama example. Some photos also include aircraft and figures, but please note that they are not included.
*3D printed parts are produced using a 3D printer that layers resin to create a three-dimensional object, so layering marks will remain on the surface.
*Laser-processed parts have soot from the laser processing. Please clean and assemble the parts carefully to avoid deformation.
*Separate adhesives, tools, etc. are required for assembly. Please note that this is not a finished product.
