"Cyborg 009," a masterpiece by the great Shotaro Ishinomori and an immortal classic in the history of Japanese science fiction manga.

Depicting the exploits, struggles, friendships, and love for humanity of nine cyborgs, this work, which began serialization in 1964, was Ishinomori's life's work and was published for many years across various publishers and media genres, including girls' manga magazines, young men's manga magazines, and newspapers.

Many episodes dealt with social issues, incidents, and war, making it a work that has remained relevant to the times.

The manga series *Cyborg 009*, including the "Underwater Pyramid Arc," was compiled using the original pagination from its initial magazine publication and published by our company in 2012 as *Cyborg 009 [Complete Color Edition]* (B5 size, boxed). Among these, the most popular and currently sold-out volumes are "1966-67 Underground Empire Yomi Arc," "1964-65 Birth Arc/Assassin Arc," and "1965 Vietnam Arc/Mythos Cyborg Arc."

With the full cooperation of Ishimori Productions, and as a special project commemorating the 60th anniversary of the series' creation, we have re-edited the content based on new compositional standards, while retaining the features of *Cyborg 009 [Complete Color Edition]*, such as the inclusion of all title pages and high-resolution digital remastering.

Now, in a more accessible A5 size, paperback format, and at a new, more affordable price, we will be publishing it as *Cyborg 009 [Original Composition Edition]*. ▼Re-editing Criteria From the perspective of not disrupting the flow and readability of the work, the prologue, which was included in the latter half of the original box set edition, and the newly drawn material for the paperback edition have been reorganized to be easier to read and follow along with the story.
