The body is reproduced in the same subdued matte black as the D51 200.
The boiler side headlight is a sealed beam housed in an LP403-type case, while the tender side headlight is an LP42, and the monitor camera attached to the bottom is also reproduced.

The leading wheel reproduces a wheel with a missing spoke.
A dummy coupler is included on the boiler side, and an Arnold coupler on the tender side. Replacement knuckle couplers, Arnold couplers for multiple-heading, and knuckle couplers for multiple-heading are included.
